The challenge
Fill the gaps in a business’s day.
Last-minute appointments go unfilled when customers cannot easily find them. Leto would make that availability visible, with no commission on bookings made at least 48 hours ahead and progressively higher fees as appointments approached.
My roleI founded the concept and led product strategy, interaction design, brand identity, and the design system across customer, provider, business, and web experiences.

Customer experience
Start with when and where.
Customers searched by time and location, compared providers, and kept bookings, messages, and payments in one place.

Provider experience
Set the service area. Open the calendar.
Providers chose their industry, work location, and travel radius, then managed availability, requests, appointments, and earnings.

The booking model
Two ways to book. One shared process.
The booking model supported fixed-price services and quote requests for work with custom pricing or duration. It kept booking simple for customers while giving providers control over the job.

Request
Keep the request open to changes.
After choosing a service, place, and time, customers sent a request. They could edit or cancel it while waiting for a response.

Provider response
Review the work. Set the price.
For quote requests, providers reviewed the work and set a price. They could edit the details, accept the request, or decline it.

Confirmation
Let the customer confirm the booking.
After reviewing the offer, customers confirmed the appointment. Both sides could see the details, message each other, or cancel.

Service and payment
Follow the job through payment.
Both sides could track arrival, work, completion, and payment, with options to report a problem or cancel.

Business experience
Schedule the day. Manage the business.
For businesses with physical locations, the iPad app brought schedules, customer records, payments, inventory, and staff into one place.

An open appointment. Someone ready to book. Leto was designed to bring them together—helping customers find local services and businesses fill gaps in their day. I developed the concept through early venture capital conversations, then joined Google before pursuing funding.
